Inter Milan legend Marco Materazzi has questioned the signing of Matias Silvestre.

Materazzi feels Inter do not need the former Palermo defender.

"Seeing as the club knew about the ability of Juan Jesus, with this Ranocchia and the senators back in form, they could have avoided signing Silvestre," stated the former Inter hard man to the Corriere dello Sport.

"Juan was secure in his every intervention on Sunday, also thanks to a Ranocchia who many should apologise to for their judgements of him last season."
