Inter Milan are in talks with Manchester United over a new loan deal for Alexis Sanchez.
Sanchez, 31, was sent out on loan to Inter this season after failing to impress at Old Trafford, with a return of just five goals in 45 appearances for United meaning Ole Gunnar Solskjaer deemed him surplus to requirements.
Sky Italia says Inter are currently negotiating a deal with United to retain the player until the 2019/20 campaign is wrapped up.
Serie A finally returns this weekend after a three-month layoff due to the coronavirus pandemic, meaning fixtures are due to spill over into August.
The Nerazzurri are therefore looking to keep Sanchez on their books at least until the current season is completed.
However, they are also said to have probed the possibility of extending his loan for one more season.
