Inter Milan aim to wrap up a deal for Atletico Madrid striker Diego Forlan before the weekend.
The Uruguay international is joining Inter as a replacement for new Anzhi signing Samuel Eto'o.
Inter were finalising minor details of Forlan's transfer last night.
The Nerazzurri also held a first round of serious talks with Genoa yesterday for attacking midfielder Juraj Kucka.
Negotiations will continue later today.
