Inter Milan fullback Matteo Darmian is delighted after last night's Supercoppa Italiana victory over AC Milan.

Inter thumped Milan 3-0 in Riyadh, with Darmian highlighting their aggressive approach.

Darmian said, "We're really happy. When there's a trophy up for grabs and you take it home, it's always special. Then in a derby, playing in this way, coming home like this is something unique.

"I think we know our qualities. But we must always take the field as we did yesterday evening and in this first part of 2023. We are a little behind in the league because we lost a few points at the start. This nastiness must distinguish us to go forward, it will certainly be difficult because we play every 3 days. But this must be the basis.

"It brings us self-esteem and self-confidence. We have to look ahead in a positive way, but from tomorrow we start thinking about the next championship."
