Inter Milan defender Jonathan has again declared he'd like to play for Italy.
The Brazilian does qualify for the Azzurri.
"Here I want to clarify one thing - it was not me who proposed this, instead I was answering a question," Jonathan told Tuttosport.
"I work in Italy, I play for a big club like Inter and, if the possibility arrived to play for the national team at the World Cup, I would take it.
"Would I accept a call from Cesare Prandelli? At this time, yes. In football you live in the present and you have to call the players who are doing best.
"Why did I say I wanted to play with Andrea Pirlo? Because he is the best player in Italy. When I played against him, we exchanged shirts.
"I like to see him play, he uses his right and left with ease and is always switched on, whilst expressing tranquility. He is extraordinary."
