Stefan de Vrij says new contract talks with Inter Milan will be held this week.

The defender is open to extending his stay with the Nerazzurri.

He said, “This week we'll have another meeting, and then we'll see how it goes."

On their 1-1 draw against Salernitana on Friday, De Vrij added: “The result is hugely disappointing.

“There's a lot that can be said about it, but as long as it stays at 1-0 then anything can happen," he continued, “the fact that it came from a cross just sums up how this period has been going for us, everything is going wrong."
