Inter Milan chief Piero Ausilio has confirmed they're pursuing Cardiff City midfielder Gary Medel.

Ausilio admits strengthening the midfield is their priority.

"We like Medel, he has features that we like and we are looking to expand the quality of our midfield," said Ausilio.

"He is also under contract and therefore there are difficulties to be resolved, especially for a purchase for cash as he his."
