Inter Milan captain Javier Zanetti admits he'd welcome Liverpool midfielder Javier Mascherano to the San Siro.
Mascherano is a top transfer target for new Inter coach Rafa Benitez.
Zanetti said: "Mascherano is intelligent, does a lot of running, retrieves balls and is very important for a team.
"I confirm that we have exchanged text messages after games in Argentina.
"Someone like Javier is important for any team."
