Inter Milan boss Jose Mourinho was in Germany on Saturday to make a check on fellow Champions League finalists Bayern Munich.

Inter are preparing to face the Bundesliga winners in Madrid on May 22, so Mou flew out to sit in the stands for Saturday's match with Hertha Berlin.

"It is difficult to go and see Bayern when we still have two important Serie A rounds to play, but it had to be done," he told Telelombardia.

"Unfortunately, though, Bayern's game was practically a friendly, seeing as they had the title in their pockets and Hertha were already relegated.

"I watched the players and the way they move on the field. However, at the end of the day I'd have learned more from studying a video of how they played in other Champions League games."
