Inter Milan boss Jose Mourinho has been branded as "pathetic" over comments last week.
Mourinho told reporters that Milan President Silvio Berlusconi picks the club's starting XI rather than Carlo Ancelotti.
The comment has sparked outrage across Italy and some believe it's the straw that might break Mourinho's back.
"Mourinho is a great communicator and he understands football," Cagliari coach Massimilano Allegri told Radio Anch'io Sport. "But those declarations were pathetic.
"To interest yourself in the business of other trainers is hardly nice and it shows a lack of respect," he concluded.
Earlier today, Renzo Ulivieri, the President of the Italian Coaches Association, also launched a broadside at Mourinho.
When told about Mourinho's statement, Ulivieri said: "I am lost for words. Ask Marcello Lippi, Luciano Spalletti or Fabio Capello if someone other than them picks the team.
"Well, this story seems to me as if someone is under too much stress," he concluded. "For me, only the factory workers suffer real stress."
