Inter Milan boss Mourinho blanks media after seeing red

Inter Milan boss Jose Mourinho blanked the media after their 2-1 win at Cagliari.

Mourinho was refusing to talk after he was sent off for dissent and instead, Inter chief Marco Branca stepped in to take questions.

Cagliari were leading 1-0 through Nelson Jeda's penalty, but two defensive howlers allowed Diego Milito to bag a brace in five minutes.

"The Coach is upset over the red card and would prefer not to speak," said Branca.

"I know some of you won't be happy, but the fact he earns a lot of money doesn't mean he is forced to come here and talk to your microphones.

"After two weeks of very tiring games, we are happy to have picked up this victory and showed immense team spirit.

"We were not as sharp as we were against Milan, but one cannot always be on such spectacular form. It was also difficult to move the ball around well on this surface.

"We need to improve the same of the side, but we have five new players who must integrate and are certain of the true value in this team. At times our battling spirit can help us overcome difficult games such as this."
