INSIDER: Abidal blocked Barcelona deals for Juventus pair Rabiot and De Ligt

Barcelona sports chief Eric Abidal shut down deals for Juventus pair Adrien Rabiot and Matthijs de Ligt, it has been revealed.

Journalist Abdellah Boulma says Barca had deals in place for both players, but Abidal pulled the plug at the last minute. Rabiot would join Juve on a Bosman from PSG, while De Ligt left Ajax for Juve in a deal worth €75m.

Boulma revealed on social media: "FC Barcelona had a total agreement with Adrien Rabiot, before finally turning back under the orders of Eric Abidal.

"The latter had also vetoed the arrival of De Ligt."
