Federico Macheda is back at Manchester United for treatment on an ankle injury sustained at loan club QPR that is likely to end his season. The 20 year old made six appearances for the west Londoners but soon fell behind the likes of Djibril Cisse and Bobby Zamora in the pecking order after Mark Hughes took charge.
Relations between Hughes and Macheda became even frostier when the Italian published a controversial tweet having been left out of the squad that drew 1-1 with Everton in early March.
