Marouane Fellaini is unlikely to move to Napoli after sustaining a foot injury in training.
The Manchester United midfielder was being heavily linked with a season-long loan to the Italian club but that proposed move appears to have fallen by the wayside now that he is injured.
United have not officially commented on Fellaini's injury but it is believed that the 26-year old Belgium international is currently in a protective cast to help with the problem.
The Red Devils need to keep Fellaini around as they are in need of central midfielders following the injury to Michael Carrick prior to the 2014/15 season commencing with only Ander Herrera and the returning Darren Fletcher fit.
