Manchester United midfielder Michael Carrick has been forced to pull out of the England squad after suffering a groin injury. The 33-year-old, who picked up the injury at St George's Park, will have a scan to discover the severity of the injury.
The FA said in a statement: "Michael Carrick will return to his club on Wednesday evening after sustaining a minor groin injury in training this morning. There will be no call ups at this time."
