Andres Iniesta is delighted Barcelona have opened the chequebook this week. The Barca midfielder is pleased Henrique is back after last season's loan at Bayer Leverkusen, while former Inter Milan wing-back Maxwell has been signed.

Iniesta said: "It is always necessary to improve.

"A few years ago we had this little oversight, and I think that the club is now doing things well."

On their bid for Inter Milan star Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Iniesta added: "There is nothing official. Nor has Samuel Eto'o left. When it's done, we can talk.

"For the moment, Eto'o continues to be my teammate, for whom I have great respect."
