Newcastle United boss John Carver excited by the return of Papiss Cisse to the first team.
Cisse made his first senior appearance in well over two months with a 25-minute cameo against West Bromwich Albion last week and now Carver has gone on to reveal that he is excited at the prospect of handing the striker a start against QPR this weekend as the Toon fight for their Premier League survival.
"He had the desire and drive to come on. He should be nowhere near us but he said to me: 'I can give you half an hour'," said Carver of Cisse.
"I was a little bit concerned on medical advice but we have got him on the pitch. That's a massive plus for us because he will have a full week of training."
