The ideal close shave for Barcelona

Barcelona have signed a regional sponsorship deal with male grooming brand Gillette, reports, www.sportspromedia.com/. The three-year agreement, announced on Thursday, covers the Latin American market and builds on Gillette's existing ties with Lionel Messi, the Barcelona forward who is also an ambassador for the brand.

Messi himself attended Thursday's announcement at the Nou Camp along with FC Barcelona chief executive Antoni Rossich and Gillette's Latin American chief executive Alexandra Vegas.

Speaking at the announcement, Rossich said Gillette's "commitment to sport and innovation makes it an ideal partner for our club".

As part of the deal Gillette will produce a line of limited edition razors in Latin America while the two parties will also co-organise a coaching clinic.

A video campaign has already been released via social media to launch the partnership.
