Sampdoria management are thrilled with their promotion to Serie A.

They won the promotion play-off final against Varese on Saturday to secure their step up along with Pescara and Torino.

"This promotion is truly wonderful and comes at the end of an amazing fightback," said coach Beppe Iachini, whose side finished sixth.
