Landon Donovan said some of the best memories he has of David Beckham was seeing the superstar bring his kids to the club.
The LA Galaxy forward shared six seasons with the English great and of all the on-field exploits he produced, simply showing up to training with his sons Brooklyn, Romeo and Cruz showed Donovan that Beckham is after all just a human being despite his celebrity status.
"He would bring his kids into training a lot, and for me, I enjoyed that part a lot because it humanized him," Donovan said.
"A lot of times celebrities are put on a pedestal, and someone with his fame is seen in one way, but he's human and a father, just like many people are, and it was always nice to see him with his kids."
Beckham has called time on his playing career and will retire at the end of the current French Ligue 1 season following his title triumph with Paris Saint-Germain.
