'I have always believed in my ability' - Tottenham ace Kane

Tottenham star Harry Kane always knew he would make it at the top as a professional footballer.

The 21-year old striker was named the PFA Young Player of the Year on Sunday night after scoring 30 goals in all competitions for Spurs this season in his breakout campaign.

Upon receiving the award at the Grosvenor Hotel in London, homegrown product Kane was over the moon after realising his potential following loan spells with Leyton Orient, Millwall, Norwich City and Leicester City.

"A lot has changed since then but I have always believed in my ability and have been waiting for a chance to express myself," he said.

"I didn't think it would go as quickly as it has done but I have managed to ride the wave and the season has got better and better.

"I got the opportunity with the gaffer (Mauricio Pochettino) and I have really enjoyed my season so far - I have taken my chance and this is why we are here."

Kane added: "We have worked hard and I have worked hard to get to where we are now. It is going great and hopefully it is the start with more to come."
