I don't envy Rodgers in his attempt to replace Carragher - Liverpool's Gerrard

Liverpool skipper Steven Gerrard insists he does not want to be manager Brendan Rodgers this summer.

The boss will be handed the unenviable task of replacing retiring defender Jamie Carragher at the end of the season but Gerrard believes it will be a very difficult process following the good recent form of the 35-year old.

"You've seen his display today," he told Sky Sports 1 after the 0-0 Merseyside derby draw with Everton.

"Since he's been back in the team he's been our most consistent player.

"I wouldn't like to be in Brendan Rodgers' shoes when he's trying to replace him in the summer."
