Rangers fullback Alan Hutton has paid tribute to manager Walter Smith for the upturn in his form this season for club and country.
"This is what dreams are made of for me," said Hutton. "Playing for Scotland in a game like that, the team winning and me being named man of the match. It's a great achievement on my part.
"My form is all down to self confidence and self belief. That comes mainly from my club manager allowing me to go out and play, but the gaffer here with Scotland is just the same.
"As a result of that my confidence is sky high. I always want the ball and I go out knowing I can play to that standard. It's just a case of producing it week in, week out. There have been many low points in the past. After the leg break, it was an uphill struggle for the best part of a year once I came back.
"To finally get to this point is amazing for me. I always knew I could do it. Personally I didn't have any doubts, although I know I had plenty of doubters out there. I like to think that I'm showing them otherwise."
