Stephen Hunt hopes transfer talk will die down after he penned a new three-year deal with Reading last week.

"Any interest in me is flattering but I am happy at Reading, the club is part of my life and I love the area," Hunt said. "We've been talking for a while and it's all about finding a happy medium. And that's what we've done.

"Hopefully, Reading are getting the best years of my career, but you never know what's around the corner. That is something I have learned. Just because I have signed a new contract and have a bit of security doesn't mean anything unless I'm playing well."

Nicky Shorey and Leroy Lita are still negotiating extended deals.
