Hull's Bruce admits: We found it difficult against 'quality' Arsenal

Hull City boss Steve Bruce admits that his side found it difficult to deal with the attacking threat of Arsenal on Monday night.

The Gunners cruised to a 3-0 lead by half-time at the KC Stadium but failed to score in the second half as the Tigers pulled one back through Stephen Quinn.

In the end, however, it was enough to inflict a 3-1 defeat on Hull with Bruce admitting it was a very tricky fixture for his men.

"When you are trying to chase with the quality Arsenal have it is there for everyone to see," he told Sky Sports.

"It was one of those really difficult evenings and thankfully we stuck at it, which was pleasing, and we have a big game at the weekend [against Burnley].

"We wanted to make sure in the second half it was not one of those horrible evenings.

"You are torn, you want to chase the game but then again you don't want to leave yourself wide open.

"We gave ourselves a chance with the goal but we played against a very, very good side and found it difficult."
