Hull City boss Phil Brown is bidding for Middlesbrough defender Andrew Davies.

The Mirror says Hull will make a £1million bid to sign Davies. Brown is a big fan of Davies who was on loan with him at Derby - and hopes to wrap up a quick deal.

Hull want Davies to play centre-half, but he can also play right-back.

Hull keeper Bo Myhill has signed a new contract that will keep him at the KC Stadium until 2010.
