Hull City boss Steve Bruce is waiting to pounce for Norwich City striker Grant Holt.
The Sun says Bruce wants a proven top-flight striker and the Norwich skipper, 32, is eager to return north after tumbling down the Canaries' pecking order.
The hitman, available for £2million, has moved his family back to Cumbria and will happily fit into the Tigers' pay structure.
