Hull City fullback Connor Townsend says his development is well served at Dundee United.
This is Townsend's fourth loan away from his boyhood club, following on from time spent with Grimsby, Chesterfield and Carlisle, and it's quickly shaping up to be the best.
"A lot is said about the standard of the Scottish Premiership and how it compares to England but for me it's a great chance to keep my progression going," he explained to the Hull Daily Mail.
"It was a no-brainer for me. It's another step and it looks good on my CV. I'd handled every step up I've taken so far and now I'm trying to prove I can do it at this level as well.
"Dundee United are a really good club. They're a close-knit bunch and I'm enjoying that little bubble with living up there.
"I see the lads all the time and from my point of view it's nice to get away and be playing so many games. It really lets me concentrate on my football."
