Hull crock Bullard targets return in two weeks

Jimmy Bullard is crossing his fingers he can return to Hull City action in two weeks' time. The former Fulham playmaker has not featured for the Tigers since injuring his knee back in October.

His return was then hindered by a meniscus tear, although Bullard is set to return to training.

Bullard hopes that he can train injury free in the coming weeks, thus avoiding surgery.

"For three years I've been beset by injuries, which has been a bit of a killer," he told Sky Sports News.

"Hopefully in the next two weeks I'm getting fit and I'll be able to play and play the game that I love playing.

"I got a little nick in my meniscus. Hopefully if I get two weeks under my belt and hopefully that heals up I won't need surgery and we'll go from there."
