Hull City are ready to pounce for Sol Campbell.

The Sun says the Championship high-fliers offered Campbell wages of £40,000 a week - the same as he was on at Notts County - but the former England star is holding out for a better offer.

Campbell, 35, could join West Brom on loan but would not be allowed to play for a Premier League club until January. Hull are leading the chase to sign the former Arsenal centre-half.
