Hull City's Garcia escapes serious knee injury

Hull City forward Richard Garcia said the knee injury sustained in Saturday's win over Doncaster Rovers is not serious.

The 29-year old Australian had to be replaced just before half-time of the 3-1 victory after being carried off on a stretcher and it was feared that he may miss the rest of the season.

But Garcia, who scored the Tigers' opener in the ninth minute at KC Stadium, has confirmed that the damage is not serious and he will be fine for the club's promotion campaign.

"Thanks for all the well wishes, all is good, just tweaked my knee. No drama," Garcia posted on his Twitter account.

Hull are currently placed eighth on the English Championship table, just two points off the playoffs zone, ahead of this weekend's clash with Scott McDonald's Middlesbrough.
