Hull City academy chief Tony Pennock is pleased with Greg Luer's move to Port Vale.
The young striker has joined Port Vale on-loan.
Pennock told the Hull Daily Mail: "Port Vale came in with a call late on Deadline Day and to be spotted by a League One club, vying for a play-off spot, is fantastic for Greg.
"His rise over the last few months is testament to what we see in Greg and we'll see how he gets on. Rob Page (Vale manager) knows his stuff and does a good job with young kids, so we'll see."
