Hull captain Davies ignoring personal critics

Hull City skipper Curtis Davies insists he doesn't get down over his critics.

Davies was heavily criticised for last week's defeat to Newcastle United.

"If someone says I was brilliant or I was poor, I'll take it with a pinch of salt," he said. "One day you'll be the king, the next you'll be the pauper that no-one wants to go near.

"It doesn't hurt because I'm my own harshest critic individually and also when I'm analysing the team."
