Hull City boss Steve Bruce had no interest in the Fulham job.

Kit Symons was named permanent manager yesterday amid talk of Bruce being up for the post.

The London Evening Standard says Bruce told close friends he had no intention of trading Premier League football for a Championship relegation battle.

Symons had been in temporary charge since Felix Magath was sacked last month.
