Hull City boss Steve Bruce is desperate to keep hold of Jake Livermore.
The midfielder is on-loan from Tottenham.
"I'll do everything I can to buy Jake," Bruce told the Hull Daily Mail.
"He's Tottenham's player, so we have to enter negotiations with Tottenham and we'll do that when we're safe.
"All things being equal, Jake would like to stay here. Why wouldn't he? He's played every week.
"He and Tom (Huddlestone) have done fantastically well. The first piece of business I'll try to do is to secure Jake if I can.
"He's had an absolutely terrific year. Five or six weeks ago, I thought I was itching to give him a rest for a couple of weeks but he's come back flying again.
"I thought his performance in the FA Cup semi-final was immense. He stood head and shoulders above most on the day."
