Newcastle United boss Chris Hughton was delighted with Aston Villa striker Marlon Harewood after their 1-1 draw with QPR.

Harewood leapt off the bench to score for Toon and earn a point.

Hughton said: "It was important to get something. They are in good form and were the better side early on. It's a big reminder that not everything will go our way this season.

"We have had to fight for everything so far.

"Marlon is different to what we have got here already but we know he can make an impact."
