Chris Hughton is expected to be named Brighton manager today.

Brighton are set to hold a press conference this morning where Hughton will be unveiled as their new manager replacing former boss Sami Hyypia who left the club on December 22.

The former Norwich City and Newcastle United boss takes over at Brighton with the club sitting just above the relegation zone in the Championship and his first game in charge will be away to Brentford in the FA Cup on January 3.

Hughton took charge of 82 games at previous club Norwich and in his first season led them to 11th place in the Premier League.
