Stoke City boss Mark Hughes will be looking to spend money during the upcoming summer transfer window if the right players are available.
Hughes has worked wonders with Stoke over the last few years despite not spending extravagantly in the transfer market but the Welshman has now suggested that if the right players to strengthen the squad become available, he will receive backing from the Potters' board to splash the cash.
The former QPR boss said: "We haven't spent a great deal since I've been here. The net spend is about £6m. But I've never been given the impression that if the right players were available and we wanted to push the boat out, the funds wouldn't be available.
"Some targets we have got to close to, but which fell by the wayside. But I've never doubted that the finances would be available."
