Hughes on Stoke: I've never been happier

Stoke City boss Mark Hughes admits he's delighted with the culture at the Brit.

He admits he has never been happier in his career.

Hughes told the Telegraph: "There's a lot of boxes that get ticked here, from a manager's point of view. You're allowed to get on with your job, there's not a lot of noise that surrounds the club in terms of things that drag you away from the priority which is preparing your group to win football matches.

"We want to do what Stoke City haven't done before. We've got the most away wins this season, the highest points total last season and we use all those milestones to kick us on. We've never won four Premier League games on the trot, which we can do at West Brom this weekend.

"There is still some headroom for us, though there will be a point in future where we'll be banging our head against a glass ceiling and it might be too difficult to break through it. But it's getting to that stage that we haven't done yet.

"The club is stable and everything is pointing in the right direction. We're all trying to push on to bigger and better things. I was just so pleased the board here looked beyond what happened at QPR."
