QPR boss Mark Hughes is delighted with their imminent deal for Inter Milan goalkeeper Julio Cesar.
QPR were working frantically on Friday to try to get the deal across the line and Hughes admitted Cesar would be a star attraction.
The Rangers manager added: "It's great that we are the kind of club now that can attract people like that.
"A year ago we wouldn't have been sitting in a room negotiating with players of this quality, but that's a measure of the ambition."
Cesar is available on a free transfer, but will command £3million per year in wages.
