Stoke City boss Mark Hughes was happy to stay home during the international break.
Hughes says he is not one of those managers looking to jet abroad to sun himself, or watch prospective new signings, during any international break.
"Some managers go away for 10 days, but I've never done that. Maybe I'm doing it wrong.
"For us here it's two days off, three days on, two days off, three days on. We had 10 or 11 players left behind this time and so we could get some meaningful work into the guys left behind."
