Hughes hands Chelsea 48 hours to make offer

Blackburn Rovers boss Mark Hughes has given Chelsea 48 hours to make him an offer - or he will accept the job at Manchester City.

The Telegraph says Chelsea chief executive Peter Kenyon, however, is advocating the British option, and sources at Stamford Bridge have suggested that a decision will be made within 24 hours.

Chelsea do not have much more time in which to act. Hughes is engaged as an ITV Euro 2008 panellist this summer, and will be looking to resolve his future as soon as possible.
