Mark Hughes has done brilliantly at Stoke City since he took the job in the summer of 2013.
That is the sentiment of Jamie Redknapp who has commended the Welshman for implementing a fluid game style which has seen the Potters into the top of the Premier League table despite operating on a very small budget.
Redknapp wrote in his pre-game analysis for Stoke's trip to Chelsea on Sky Sports that Hughes deserves the plaudits for turning things around at the Britannia Stadium after his failed stint at Loftus Road with QPR.
'Hughes was rewarded with a new contract this week and I'm really pleased for him,' wrote Redknapp.
'He got a lot of blame for what happened when he was at QPR but he's a good manager and he's seized this chance to show what he can do. He's done a really good job.
'Stoke are now playing well, scoring good goals and Hughes deserves a lot of credit for what he's done there.'
