Manchester City boss Mark Hughes is philosophical over new signing Jo's commitment to Brazil's Olympic squad.

He told City's website: "You have to understand the importance that countries put on winning the gold medals at the Olympics. They place more significance on it than we do in Great Britain because of our football situation, and I understand that.

"Brazil have picked a very strong side with the intention of winning the competition, Jo is a young player of great potential and I am sure that he will be better for the experience."
