Stoke City boss Mark Hughes is searching for a new striker signing this summer.
He admits the trail went cold last year when Hanover's Mame Biram Diouf was among those strikers he was targeting.
Hughes stated: "We still haven't got somebody who can score 15 to 20 goals and we will probably look again for that type of player.
"But they cost a significant amount of money and so it's not easy to do.
"A 15-goal-a-year striker, they cost upwards of £7m and the wages rise markedly in tandem, but we will look at that.
"The difference this year is that I understand the group better and understand the qualities of the players better now.
"But that striker position is something we would certainly look at because when it comes to out-and-out strikers at the moment we only have Peter Crouch and John Guidetti. We need to address that."
