Huddersfield set price for Bournemouth target Philip Billing

Huddersfield Town have set their price for Philip Billing.

The Daily Mail says Huddersfield have placed a £17million price tag on Billing despite banishing the midfielder to train with the academy.

Billing, a target for Bournemouth, has been exiled from the first-team set-up after making highly critical comments of manager Jan Siewert at the end of last season.

The 23-year-old was not given a squad number for this season and fined three weeks' wages for saying of Siewert: "He is special. Real German mentality, little strange.

"He came in like he had won the Premier League five times, a little arrogant, and I think most of the players lost the respect for him after week one. People could see there was something wrong."

Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe is a fan of Billing, who scored twice in 27 Premier League matches last season and was one of Huddersfield's best performers under David Wagner.
