Huddersfield ace Rhodes not getting carried away with transfer speculation

Huddersfield Town hotshot Jordan Rhodes says he is finding it difficult to come to terms with his newfound fame.

The 22-year old English-born Scotland international is attracting plenty of transfer interest after scoring 46 goals for the Terriers last season but he insists will simply remain grounded and continue working hard despite the likes of Fulham, Celtic and West Ham United circling.

"You always have dreams as a boy to someday see your name in lights," Rhodes said.

"I'm starting to see my name like that, but you don't actually believe it's real.

"Sometimes I look at it and it's almost as if I don't know who they're talking about.

"I just believe it's more important to maintain my level-headedness and concentrate on what's important in life.

"My family and the important people in my life will always be there no matter how good or bad my performances are.

"First and foremost it's about being a good person. It's not up to me what happens off the field or what figures people quote.

"I'm just trying to do my best on the field and to be the nicest person off it."
