Howe: Bournemouth still waiting on Arter

Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe has revealed that he is still waiting to hear the latest on the injury of midfielder Harry Arter.

The Republic of Ireland international has been missing in action since the start of June with a hip injury.

"Harry, unfortunately, isn't fit yet," Howe explained in his pre-match conference ahead of Monday night's clash with Liverpool at Anfield.

"He hasn't trained with us. We're disappointed because we would have hoped to have him back with us by now, but he's had some mini setbacks and has been feeling certain symptoms again.

"He's had a couple of injections this week and he's felt a lot better. But at the moment we're no closer to knowing whether he'll be back in the next few days or weeks. It's still a grey area for us.

"He's been out and about seeing different specialists. He's been to Rome and back to London, so we're doing all we can to find the problem and give him a set date for when he'll return."

Bournemouth will travel to Anfield to face the Reds, searching for their first Premier League win.
