Houston Dynamo coach Dominic Kinnear has confirmed interest in Argentina midfielder Andres D'Alessandro.

D'Alessandro, once of Portsmouth, is currently playing in Brazil with Internacional.

"We did not go directly to Brazil to see D'Alessandro but I looked at him 10 years ago and just saw this trip as a chance to see him again. I was impressed with his play, he has not lost anything even though he is 29, is a great player.

"Definitely [D'Alessandro] is on the list from 15 to 20 players who can come to our team and make a big difference," said Kinnear.
