Hertha Berlin boss Jos Luhukay has heaped praise on his defence for their performance in the weekend's 1-1 draw with Hoffenheim.
Sebastian Langkamp, Peter Pekarik and Japan international Hajime Hosogai restricted Hoffenheim's strike force of Kevin Volland, Roberto Firmino and Tarik Elyounoussi to a limited amount of shots at the Olympiastadion in Berlin on Sunday.
In the wake of the brilliant defensive display, Luhukay lauded the trio for the roles they played in keeping the Hoffenheim stars quiet.
"How they did their job against Firmino and Volland, one of the best striker duos, was class," said Luhukay.
"That makes me proud.
"The (Hoffenheim) trio made a total of only two shots on goal in the game.
"Firmino was held to a single effort in front, this is the merit of Sebastian and later also by Hajime, who indeed played well at the back later."
The draw allowed Hertha to remain 10th on the Bundesliga table, level on 37 points with ninth-placed Hoffenheim.
